Principal Product Owner - Payroll and Timekeeping

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Principal Product Owner to join our HR Technology team at Discover Financial Services. As the Principal Product Owner for Payroll and Timekeeping, you will collaborate with business leaders to ensure the successful delivery of product outcomes. This role requires a deep understanding of Payroll, Absence, and Timekeeping functions to develop and implement effective solutions, managing risks and issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the prioritization of business requests in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Define key product features and roadmaps based on insights, feedback, and data.
• Ensure alignment with product vision and best practices.
• Create essential product documentation and business requirements.
• Identify functional and non-functional requirements for product success.
• Define Minimum Viable Product and product delivery roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system components.
• Establish a culture of accountability and ownership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Workday's Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence products.
• Experience in project management and Agile methodology.
• Strong understanding of U.S payroll regulations and compliance.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $110,500.00 to $154,900.00, with additional incentives based on qualifications and experience.
