Job Description
Avtec Finishing is looking for an Experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires a jack-of-all-trades individual with mechanical aptitude in areas such as carpentry, electrical work, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. The position is crucial for keeping our manufacturing/production environment running smoothly by addressing mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventive and routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Reading blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Completing basic welding tasks with different equipment types.
- Managing multiple job tasks simultaneously.
Requirements
- Trade school training or equivalent experience of 2 years.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of safety procedures like lock out/tag out and good organizational skills.
- Willingness to acquire additional training as needed.
- Fluency in English and good communication skills.
Compensation
- Wage Range: $26-$32+/hour based on experience.
- Signing Bonus: $1,500.00 (not for current employees).
- Work Hours: 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
