Physical Therapist

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist to join Minds Matter, LLC. Our organization focuses on helping individuals who have experienced brain injuries live independently at home. As a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT), you will play a crucial role in assisting consumers to reach their highest level of motor functioning and mobility. You will work closely with consumers, providing skilled therapy goals and supervising physical therapy assistants.

Responsibilities

• Implementing the organization's principles in service delivery.
• Reviewing, co-signing, and providing feedback on assistant therapists' daily notes.
• Assisting individuals in identifying needs and developing compensation techniques.
• Performing evaluations to determine therapy strategies based on physical and mental abilities.
• Collaborating with consumers and professional staff to meet therapy goals.
• Assessing and recommending adaptive equipment and home modifications.
• Educating families and caregivers about strategies and techniques related to brain injury.
• Maintaining consumer documentation and confidentiality.
• Attending trainings to stay updated on best practices.
• Performing other assigned duties by supervisors.

• Supervising and mentoring therapy assistants effectively.
• Sensitivity and professionalism in interactions.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing tasks.
• Basic to moderate technology proficiency.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current license in the state of Kansas.

Requirements

• Ability to lift for consumers with physical needs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• iPad proficiency.
• Reliable transportation.
