Nurse Practitioner - APRN (Mid-Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - APRN (Mid-Level) to join our healthcare team at Cibola General Hospital. As a mid-level provider, you will be responsible for providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and follow-up care to patients of all ages under the direction of the Supervisory Physician. Your duties will include examining patients, ordering tests, administering treatment, promoting health education, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.

Primary Functions

• Examine patients, record history, and discuss with Physician to prepare comprehensive plans.
• Order tests, analyze results, diagnose, and administer treatment.
• Promote health education, advise on diet, hygiene, and prevention of diseases.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary for their well-being.
• Perform minor surgeries and report any necessary information to authorities.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must have and maintain a current State of New Mexico license in good standing.
• Current National Board Certification and DEA.

Additional Qualifications

• Prior experience with electronic medical records system.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Relationship Reporting

Reports to the Clinic Administrator/Chief of Staff.

Physical Requirements

• Effective communication with patients.
• Use of computer, printer, and scanner.
• Ability to sit, stand, or view a computer screen for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
• Reach, handle, and feel with hands and fingers.
