Expert Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an Expert Cybersecurity Analyst to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will optimize cybersecurity program processes and output, contribute to the broader program roadmap, and drive reporting accuracy. This role involves managing and escalating risks and customer-impacting issues, supporting governance and oversight of risk and controls, and creating a culture of effective risk management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver department, committee, and board-level reports.
• Ensure program compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Define and promote the strategic direction of the Cybersecurity program.
• Support oversight of management and response to Cybersecurity audit findings and emerging risks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Analytics, Business, or Project Management.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale (for internal applicants).

Preferred Qualifications

• CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP certifications.
