Job Description
Johns Manville Corp - Berkshire Hathaway is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Milan, OH. As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining plant safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies. You will lead initiatives, facilitate incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in environmental monitoring and data management systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify and communicate facility risk exposures and prioritize risk reduction needs.
- Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Assess current EHS structure and develop potential staff.
- Coordinate safety activities, perform follow-ups, and report status to the Plant Manager.
- Establish annual operating plans for the HSE team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Leadership skills to direct personnel and supervise teams.
- Ability to analyze data, develop solutions, and manage projects within regulatory standards.
