LPN ( Licensed Practical Nurse) - Full Time (No Nights, No Weekends)

Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Valley Counseling Services, a program of Family & Community Services Inc. This is a full-time role with a 40-hour work week, with flexibility in scheduling based on client and agency needs. The LPN will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Medical Director, providing essential healthcare services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and address client questions and concerns regarding medical issues.
• Provide emergency care and first aid services when required.
• Collaborate with physicians to observe, record, and report client behavior, condition, and response to medication.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation following agency and state regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with staff and contribute to a cohesive work environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in medication administration, health information gathering, crisis intervention, and communication.
• Training in First Aid, CPR, and de-escalation techniques.
• Licensure as a Practical Nurse in Ohio with medication administration training.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
• Prior experience in mental health nursing preferred.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Practical nursing degree from an accredited institution meeting Ohio's LPN requirements.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively, drive to off-site locations, and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Compensation

$21-21 Hourly Wage
