Job Description
We are currently hiring Warehouse Workers with expertise in Forklift Operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at $17 per hour and provides an excellent opportunity for immediate employment.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for efficiently handling merchandise movements, including storage, distribution, and transportation within our facilities. In addition to managing product flow, this role involves providing training to fellow employees and ensuring exemplary customer service standards.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Efficiently move and rearrange merchandise to optimize storage space.
- Handle product transfers to and from various locations for display, storage, or delivery.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Guarantee accuracy in customer orders and maintain precise systems records.
- Inspect, tag, and process incoming merchandise; prepare outgoing items for safe delivery.
- Provide training and lead by example for other team members.
- Deliver professional customer service and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure a secure and organized work environment.
- Participate in lean practices and perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (or in progress).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus.
