Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is hiring Warehouse Associates to join our team. If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this position is for you. Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position involves performing duties related to merchandise movement, including storing, moving, and distributing products. You will lead by example and provide training to other employees.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
- Handle the movement of merchandise to and from the show floor.
- Manage flow using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Receive incoming merchandise and prepare outgoing items for shipment.
- Provide training to other employees.
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating professionally and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- A valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Point of sale (POS) system knowledge is desirable.
