Warehouse Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join the team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and distribution of merchandise, providing valuable support to our operations.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize merchandise within the warehouse to maximize space utilization.
• Handle merchandise transfers to and from the show floor for various purposes.
• Utilize the point of sale system to track merchandise flow accurately.
• Ensure the accuracy of customer orders and maintain system records.
• Assist in unloading and receiving incoming merchandise and preparing outgoing shipments.
• Provide training to fellow employees and lead by example in all warehouse activities.
• Deliver excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies and keeping management informed.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Execute all tasks as directed by the supervisor and assist in grounds and building maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or currently pursuing one.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with point of sale systems is a plus.
