Sr Merchandise Handler

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This is a full-time position with a competitive starting salary of $17 per hour. If you are experienced in warehouse operations and forklift handling, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities

• Store, move, and distribute merchandise efficiently within warehouse spaces.
• Manage merchandise movement to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and packaging for storage or delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders and maintaining system records.
• Lead by example and provide training to other team members.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to safety policies and practices to prevent equipment or merchandise damage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including facility maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Experience in product assembly and movement.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
• Point of Sale (POS) system familiarity is a plus.
