Sr Merchandise Handler

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently looking to fill the position of Senior Merchandise Handler. This full-time role involves responsibilities related to merchandise movement, forklift operations, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
• Lead training sessions for other team members.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
• Valid driver's license and forklift operation experience.
• Basic computer knowledge, POS experience is a plus.
