Job Description

As a Sous Chef at Riviera Golf & Tennis, Inc., you will be an integral part of the kitchen team, working closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to oversee food quality and kitchen operations. Your role will involve developing innovative menus, supervising food preparation, managing inventory, mentorship of culinary staff, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for club members. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments for events, maintain high standards of service, and uphold food safety regulations. This position requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute high-quality, innovative menus.
  • Supervise food preparation and maintain consistency.
  • Oversee kitchen operations for efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
  • Mentor and lead culinary team members.
  • Collaborate on seasonal and event menus.
  • Ensure highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff for a seamless dining experience.
  • Manage food and labor costs for efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end culinary environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen organization.
  • Ability to work flexible hours for special events and tournaments.

Compensation

$70,000 - $80,000 Yearly Salary
