Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

We are currently looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Merchandise Handlers at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour, with overtime opportunities available.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing products within our warehouse. In addition to handling merchandise, you will lead by example and provide training to other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Move merchandise within locations to maximize space efficiency.
• Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display or storage for delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Unload, inspect, tag, and receive incoming merchandise. Pack, inspect, and wrap outgoing items for shipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards completion).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency are essential.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
