Position: Material Handler

Salary: Competitive pay starting at $17 per hour

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position involves handling merchandise including storing, moving, and distributing products. Additionally, providing training to other employees.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Manage merchandise movement to optimize space efficiency.
• Handle inventory transitions, from storage to display, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize a point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and maintain system records.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing merchandise ensuring quality and presentation.

Training:
Lead by example and provide training to fellow employees.
Customer Service:
Maintain professional communication with customers, colleagues, and vendors. Resolve inventory discrepancies and update management on inventory status.
Other Responsibilities:
Follow lean practices, assist with maintenance tasks as assigned. Ensure a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, basic math skills, knowledge of tools and hardware assembly, valid driver's license, basic computer knowledge, POS familiarity.
