Billing & A/R Specialist

Job Description

OnPoint Medical Group is looking for a detail-oriented Billing & A/R Specialist to join our team. As a Billing & A/R Specialist, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, interacting with insurance companies and patients, and maintaining billing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work on accounts receivable collections and management, including processing claims and appeals.
• Ensure productivity goals are met by clearing assigned claims daily and managing A/R effectively.
• Adhere to billing compliance policies and maintain strict privacy and safety protocols.
• Perform administrative duties such as maintaining a clean work environment and delivering faxes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of billing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems like Athenahealth.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
