Job Description

We are seeking a Field Service Technician - Nuclear to join the Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC team in New Berlin, WI, United States. As a technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, modernization, and installation activities on electric overhead travelling cranes at a nuclear power plant. Your role will involve conducting on-site mechanical troubleshooting, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, modernization, and installation activities on electric overhead travelling cranes.
• Conduct on-site mechanical troubleshooting to determine causes of equipment malfunction.
• Document findings and make corrective recommendations to the home office.
• Read, understand, and apply all relevant safety codes and regulations.
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and professionally.
• Maintain communication with the service office and Service Supervisor.
• Ensure proper maintenance of company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow established safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience involving overhead cranes and mechanical work.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work at elevations and travel for extended periods.
