Job Description
We are looking for compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team at Berrien County Jail in St. Joseph, Michigan. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver high-quality care to patients within the scope of practice outlined by the state nurse practice act. Your responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient.
- Implement nursing care within the LPN's scope of practice.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient teaching plans.
- Administer medications and provide wound care.
- Monitor vital signs and document patient actions.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current LPN license in Michigan.
- Active CPR certification.
- Knowledgeable about state laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical competencies.
