Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. As an LPN, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible support and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and respectful environment for clients and colleagues.
• Assist clients in following their care plans.
• Administer medication according to policies and procedures.
• Observe clients for any signs of intoxication or medication side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and client medical documentation.
• Work within the scope of practice under the guidance of a registered nurse.
• Participate in job training, education programs, meetings, and committees.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year of LPN experience, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with computers and written English language skills.
• Must have necessary sensory abilities or prosthetics to perform job functions.
