Job Description
We are hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Heavy Truck) to join our team at River States Truck And Trailer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions, delivering quality repairs on Class 6-8 vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work independently, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose and repair malfunctions on heavy trucks.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Deliver high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.
- Participate in training to stay updated on new technologies.
- Adhere to company safety policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years experience as a diesel technician on Class 6-8 vehicles.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Positive team attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A CDL.
- Technical degree.
- A/C, Brake, and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications.
- Specialization in specific areas such as engines or brakes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $27-$40.
