Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a critical role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support 24x7x365 to both customers and internal resources. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. A professional demeanor and adherence to company policies are essential in this fast-paced data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and escalation of facility and customer issues.
• Maintain professionalism and conduct while performing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the ticketing system.
• Follow support and data center policies, processes, and procedures.
• Support 24/7 operations and perform installations of services.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and perform facilities rounds.
• Process shipping/receiving and manage badge access security system.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for customer experience and Windows/Microsoft systems knowledge.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Preferably 1 year of IT support experience and relevant certifications.
• Physical abilities including climbing ladders, working in varied environments, and cabling.
