Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure to lead the operations and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in our data center(s) while ensuring mission-critical uptime. As the Area Manager, you will provide technical leadership, coach and develop your team, and drive cross-functional efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Own the operation, maintenance, and repair of mission-critical equipment to achieve 99.999% uptime.
- Lead and mentor the team on best practices.
- Drive cross-market initiatives to enhance Regional Operations.
- Identify improvements for operational and financial efficiencies.
- Create and implement company policies and procedures.
- Oversee disaster recovery exercises and equipment installations.
- Prepare reports on facility performance and customer utilization.
- Develop maintenance procedures and training materials.
- Conduct facility rounds and tours with stakeholders.
- Configure monitoring/alerting systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of management experience with direct reports.
- Experience in critical infrastructure environments.
- Applicable military or trade experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced electrical or mechanical certifications.
- 5+ years of data center experience.
- 3+ years of management experience with direct reports.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods, walk or stand for 50% of the time, and lift 50lbs.
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage with 10% travel.
Base Pay Range
Annual salary range is $112,700 - $145,400 based on experience and qualifications.
