Job Title: Banquet Chef
Job Type: Full-time

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for writing transfers and food requisitions overseen by the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
- Prepare designated food items according to standard recipes and policies.
- Promote teamwork between kitchen and banquet kitchen.
- Consult on daily and weekly banquet forecast and special functions.
- Supervise staff and ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
- Place orders for necessary equipment with Stewarding Department.
- Supervise and train staff.
- Ensure proper breakdown of banquet functions and food rotation.
- Complete food transfers and report irregularities to management.
- Ensure stations are clean and food items are properly stored.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years culinary experience in a hotel or conference center.
- Previous experience supervising a staff of fifteen or more employees.
- Three years of culinary training.
- Good working knowledge of basic accounting.
- Creative, innovative, and assertive personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
Basic Function: The Banquet Chef is responsible for all food and beverage preparation for scheduled functions.
Marginal Functions:
- Respond to tasks assigned by management.
- Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
- Develop and maintain education programs for sanitation and safety.
