Responsibilities
- Represent clients in diverse civil litigation matters, encompassing the drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Undertake legal research and analysis to formulate comprehensive case strategies.
- Oversee all facets of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys and support personnel to ensure streamlined case management.
- Maintain an updated understanding of pertinent laws, regulations, and industry developments.
- Deliver exceptional client service, including regular updates on case progress and consistent communication.
- Representation of clients in diverse legal proceedings.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
- Proven experience in civil litigation.
- Proficient in analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to adeptly manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
- Keen attention to detail and superior organization skills.
- Pledge to uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel locally and statewide for client consultations and legal proceedings.
- Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week as needed.
