Product Owner, CPB Platform and Aggregator

Job Description

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our dynamic team at Discover Financial Services. As the Product Owner for the Card Posting & Billing (CPB) Platform and Aggregator team, you will collaborate closely with Business and Technology to drive priority initiatives across Discover Card. This role involves leading a product team responsible for fundamental, business-critical aggregator APIs, driving the product vision, and modernization roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful delivery of products meeting stakeholder and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align product features and roadmap with customer insights, financials, compliance, and risk data.
• Establish KPIs and OKRs, create and maintain essential product documentation, define MVP, and prioritize product backlog items.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements, validate user story acceptance criteria, and ensure product quality and compliance.
• Partner with business technology to optimize system components and infrastructure maintenance.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability and ownership within the product team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the agile mindset and experience with scrum delivery framework.
• Proficiency in agile management tools such as Jira and process management tools like IBM Blueworks Live.
