Job Description

OnPoint Family Medicine at DTC is seeking an outstanding Practice Manager to join our team in South Denver. As part of our physician-led network, you will play a key role in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe environment for all. The Practice Manager will work with, train, and mentor personnel, and with the administrative team in the development of objectives aligned with our business plan, mission, goals, and strategic values.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and generate ideas for improving administrative and practice processes continuously.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement new policies and procedures.
  • Advise on current trends, problems, and medical activities to facilitate policy making.
  • Ensure practice compliance with healthcare delivery regulations and accrediting bodies.
  • Monitor operations, and initiate appropriate changes in line with OSHA and universal precautions.
  • Provide effective communication at all levels and facilitate constructive staff meetings.
  • Coordinate staffing and schedules at each location, monitor patient flow, and manage recruitment and onboarding of personnel.
  • Oversee business and financial affairs, reviews daily reports to monitor collections, outstanding balances, and supply usage.
  • Manage patient complaints effectively, act as a liaison between hospitals, regulatory bodies, vendors, and coordinate and attend standard meetings for OnPoint Medical Group.
  • Facilities Management and Purchasing, and attending/ coordinating marketing/public relations functions as delegated.
  • Enforce OSHA and HIPAA standards, policies, and procedures, and enact proper chain of command for patient complaints.
  • Perform duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience: Associates Degree in related field, 2-5 years of managerial/supervisory experience. Preferred Education/Experience: Experience in family, pediatrics, internal medicine, or Healthcare Administration, Bilingual, Athenahealth practice management system, B.A. or B.S. in Healthcare or Business Administration.

Demonstrate ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members, maintain patient confidentiality, and enact proper chain of command for patient complaints.

Language, Mathematical, and Reasoning Skills

The ability to effectivlely read, write reports, present information, add, subtract, multily, divide, compute rates, and draw valid conclusions.

Aptitudes and Temperament

Must have a high level of energy with the ability to adjust to any justifiable pace, make decisions based more on fact than feeling, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, and staff members.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Practice Front and Back Office Personnel.
