Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) is the nation's largest cooperative food wholesaler serving independently owned supermarkets across 31 states. We are seeking a Lead Grocery Store Designer to oversee design and construction coordination for grocery store development in the Kansas City Division. Responsibilities include designing floor plans, advising on equipment needs, and working with architects and engineers for project development.

Responsibilities

• Meet with member retailers to design fixture layouts and recommend building components.
• Supervise building construction, review construction documents, and manage project budgets.
• Coordinate equipment installation requirements with design professionals and resolve construction issues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail grocery industry, CAD software, and construction management.
• Experience in grocery store design/engineering and managing employees.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and technical aptitude.
