Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Director, Life Claims and Investigations to join our team at USAA, a company with a mission to support the financial security of U.S. military members and their families. As the Director in charge of Life Claims and Investigations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing of life, annuity, and health claims, as well as managing the Life Special Investigation Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversight to staff on interpreting procedures and guidelines.
- Manage the claims and benefits process decisions and investigations.
- Develop strategic plans and policies for Claims Security.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance business relationships.
- Lead hiring, coaching, performance evaluation, and management functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of relevant business experience, including 3 years in Claims and/or Insurance Fraud.
- 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
- US military experience or military spouse/domestic partner status is a plus.
- Strong background in Life Insurance and annuity claims management.
- Proven track record of operational excellence.
