Bulger Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-time Veterinary Technician to join its growing surgical team in Lawrence, Massachusetts. As a Surgery Veterinary Technician at Bulger Veterinary Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work closely with anesthesiologists and board-certified surgeons specializing in soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform anesthetic monitoring, intubation/extubation, and machine troubleshooting.
- Prepare blood samples for testing and process radiographs.
- Assist in various surgical procedures including abdominal explores, cruciate repairs, and laparoscopic surgeries.
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain accurate medical records.
- Opportunity for VTS certification in anesthesia or surgical specialty.
Schedule: Full-time position (36-40 hours) with up to 3 holidays, no weekends required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AVMA program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years experience in Veterinary Anesthesia.
- Proficiency in anesthetic agents, record-keeping, and anesthetic monitoring.
- CVT, LVT, or VTS preferred.
