Senior Hydrogeologist

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Hydrogeologist to join our California Team at Montgomery & Associates. This position, based in Monterey or Oakland, involves managing and providing technical oversight for multiple tasks and projects, focusing on quantitative hydrogeology and groundwater resources management. The successful candidate will work on the Salinas Valley Basin Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) program and collaborate with our team in California and Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Supporting SGMA projects planning and implementation.
• Designing hydrogeologic conceptual models and water budgets.
• Interacting with regulatory agencies and water agencies.
• Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Preparing technical proposals and work plans.
• Directing, training, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering; graduate degree preferred.
• Ten or more years of experience in environmental and water resources consulting.
• Professional registration (P.G. or P.E.) preferred.
• Experience with groundwater models and SGMA projects preferred.
• Task or project management experience.
