Summary

We are looking for motivated Service Technicians with a problem-solving mentality to join our team. As a Service Technician at Rudd Equipment Company, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment in both shop and field environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and work safely.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment.
• Perform repairs in the field, including welding and fabrication.
• Repair engine hydraulic systems, air conditioning, suspension systems, and more.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and quality repairs.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel when necessary.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with heavy equipment and welding/fabrication.
• Ability to interpret technical information and schematics.

Education and Experience

• Minimum High School diploma or GED.
• Technical school graduate preferred.
• Experience with Volvo construction or paving equipment a plus.

Communication Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to document and communicate repair processes.

Physical Demands

This position requires physical abilities to perform repairs and work in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift, move, and carry specified weights.

Work Hours

Full-time position with variable work hours and occasional overtime.
