Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer II - Geodesy Instrumentation to join the EarthScope Consortium team at our cutting-edge New Mexico instrumentation facility. As part of our Instrumentation department, you will play a crucial role in supporting geophysical instruments and networks to deliver high-quality geodetic data for research projects. This position involves field project management, technical support, and collaboration with various teams to drive innovation in geophysical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement field projects to support geophysical instruments and networks.
  • Participate in logistics and field operations across various locations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to geophysical sensors and data management.
  • Assist in the design and testing of new systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of activities and metadata.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
  • Familiarity with data quality analysis software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
