Job Description

We are looking for a Corporate Counsel, Litigation to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing life-changing medicines for patients worldwide. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of litigation matters such as antitrust, securities, patent, commercial, and employment disputes. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, you will contribute to the legal strategy and day-to-day management of litigation cases in the U.S. and globally. This position requires a practical and business-minded litigator with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across different functions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of litigation matters globally, including antitrust, securities, patent, commercial, and employment disputes.
  • Interact with functional leaders to provide legal advice on ongoing litigation matters.
  • Lead discovery strategy, oversee document review, and prepare company witnesses for depositions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws affecting client areas and provide legal counsel on compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in one or more U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Experience litigating cases in U.S. state and federal courts, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to discuss legal topics with non-lawyers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a focus on establishing professional credibility and partnerships across the organization.

Compensation

This role offers a competitive base pay range of $204,000-$267,750, along with discretionary annual cash bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement savings, and flexible paid vacation.
