Job Description

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector to join our team in Lawrence, KS. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing various civil construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction projects across different disciplines to ensure compliance with regulations and contract specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, attend meetings, and resolve issues as necessary.
• Document inspections, track quantities, review contractor estimates, and conduct final inspections.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience preferred.
• KDOT Inspection Experience and relevant certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, safety regulations, and inspection procedures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Kansas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction equipment operation.
• Ability to work weekends and 50+ hours per week as needed.
