Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Location: Saline, MI

Status: PRN

Hours: Availability needed 5:30am - 10:00pm M-F

Job Description

Provide occupational health services for employees at client locations to include medical surveillance, physicals, and injury care. Perform clinical duties consistent with education, certification, and competency levels.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat injuries and illnesses and critically think using clinical experience to conduct a range of risk and health assessments, including appropriate documentation and follow-up.
  • Provide episodic care for non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Execute program workflows, protocols, and procedures, including emergency response, internal and external care referrals, return to work, stay at work, restriction management, and support of client Leave of Absence (LOA) management.
  • Provide preventative and restorative services and education to employees by engaging employees or dispatching an early interventions specialist to provide job coaching, ADL coaching, mobility coaching, and workstation assessments.
  • Prepare ergonomic, injury intervention, injury treatment, surveillance, and FMLA/ADA reports.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: Associate's Degree
  • Required License or Certificate: Licensed/certified LPN or RN
  • Preferred License or Certificate: Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
  • Required Experience: 2 years providing occupational health services or other related experience
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft programs; ability to develop meaningful professional relationships with clients for successful coaching; ability to execute on performance goals; ability to work with AWS site personnel and client personnel; comfortable presenting to groups; a solid team player who also demonstrates maturity, drive, intellectual curiosity, and support for clinic operations; deadline-driven; strong verbal and presentation skills; ability to multi-task
