Vet Cadets Teacher

Job Description

Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon Inc is looking for a dedicated Vet Cadets Teacher to join our team. As part of our childcare teaching team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of young children. This position offers an opportunity to create a nurturing and stimulating environment while fostering growth and learning in preschool-aged children.

Essential Functions

• Monitor and respond to classroom activities and outdoor play areas.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans.
• Provide individualized attention and support for children's development.
• Use effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress.

Education & Experience

• Completion of training in early childhood education or related fields.
• Qualifying teaching experience in certified childcare centers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Create a safe and welcoming environment for children.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Ability to engage children in age-appropriate activities.
• Physical ability to lift and carry children and materials.

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Stand and be mobile for extended periods.
• Exposure to playful and noisy environments.
• Location: On site

Compensation

Hourly wage: $20-22
