System Analyst - Temp position with City of ABQ

Job Description

ATA Services, Inc is currently seeking to hire an experienced System Analyst to work on a temporary assignment with the City of Albuquerque. The selected candidate must be able to pass a background and drug test. This is the journey-level class within the Systems Analyst series. Employees within this class perform the full range of duties as assigned. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects of assigned applications development and maintenance and software implementation projects.
• Conferring with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
• Writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs, and application specifications including database interfaces, user interfaces, business rules, and database relationships.
• Reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programs or program changes are possible within an existing system.
• Preparing technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development following City documentation standards.

Benefits

• $27.08 per hour with weekly pay.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm.
• Located at 1 Civic Plaza; Downtown Albuquerque.
• Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science, or a related field, plus four (4) years of software applications analysis, design, programming, implementation, and project management experience.
