Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Special Procedure Tech to join Corewell Health's dynamic team. As a Special Procedure Tech, you will provide direct care for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures, supporting physicians and delivering top-quality patient-centered care during pre, intra, and post procedures. Your responsibilities will include performing IV starts, patient preparation, hemodynamics monitoring, equipment operation, procedure documentation, vascular access management, and patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures, providing technical support and exceptional care.
- Record hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and patients.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology; Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, or equivalent for Cath Lab/EP Lab.
- 1 year of EP, Cath Lab, or IR experience required.
- Relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, RT status, and specific lab certifications.
- Strong communication, math, and computer skills.
