Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Skilled Trades Instructor specializing in Electrical work to join our team at Home Builders Institute Inc. Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on training and classroom instruction in electrical trade skills using approved curriculum.
  • Develop curriculum and training materials as necessary to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate practical training activities, including on-site and community projects, to reinforce learning.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper tool and equipment use, emphasizing workplace safety at all times.
  • Assist with student recruitment, placement, and employability training, fostering student development and success.
  • Establish positive relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain tools, equipment, and facilities in optimal condition.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with Journey-level experience in Electrical trades.
  • Compliance with Career Technical Training requirements.
  • Strong focus on safety protocols, including knowledge of OSHA 10 standards.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills to effectively mentor and teach students.

Working Conditions

This role involves usual office-type work conditions with additional physical activities like walking, standing, and carrying. Travel may be required occasionally.
