Job Description

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Intermediate Care team. The ideal candidate must have a valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License and experience in Telemetry, Intermediate Care, OR, Cath Lab, or other specialty area. BCLS is required, and ACLS is required, or the ability to obtain ACLS within 6 months in the position.

To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care to patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter, and CHF.
  • Utilize a broad skill set, initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring, and assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
