Job Description
Corewell Health is currently seeking a talented Radiology Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis for afternoon shifts. As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a crucial role in performing accurate diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology while upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Conduct radiographic and patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and personnel.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow protocols for any malfunctions.
- Provide patient education and procedural information prior to exams.
- Ensure compliance with ALARA standards for radiation exposure.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT required upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT required within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required upon hire.
