Job Description
Discover Financial Services is looking for a motivated Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Identity Security Platform Authentication Services Team. This role involves designing and implementing impactful authentication technologies to secure Discover from emerging threats and adversaries. The ideal candidate will lead Cybersecurity engineering initiatives, drive program optimization, and mitigate operational risks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the principal advisor in Cybersecurity matters, ensuring security improvement designs are implemented.
- Explore and assess the latest technology trends to maintain organization cyber competitive edge.
- Provide strong leadership, create technology roadmaps, and ensure compliance with audit and legal requirements.
- Research, engineer, and integrate new Cybersecurity solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Information Security, Application Security, or Security Engineering.
- Technical proficiency in Cybersecurity engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong skills in Enterprise Single Sign-On/MFA, authentication technologies, Cyber Security technologies, automation tools, risk-based authentication, and programming/scripting. Experience with Agile methodology is a plus.

Compensation
Base pay ranges $104,000.00 to $175,600.00, with additional incentives based on experience and skills.
