Job Description
OnPoint Medical Group is seeking an outstanding Medical Assistant to join our team at DTC. We are a physician-led network committed to expanding access to quality healthcare in an effective and affordable manner. The back office Medical Assistant will assist the provider in examination and treatment of patients, ensuring an exceptional level of care.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and preparing patients for healthcare visits.
- Documenting accurate vital signs and medical history.
- Assisting providers during examination and treatment, following point-of-care tests.
- Maintaining supplies and disinfecting treatment rooms.
- Conducting business in a service-oriented manner with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Addressing pre-visit planning and maintaining required checks and logs.
- Managing communications and providing back-up support to front office.
- Maintaining professional working relationships with vendors.
- Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and attending required trainings and meetings.

Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited healthcare program or equivalent work experience.
- Maintain certifications per state guidelines.
- Current BLS card.
Preferred Education/Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics.
- Experience with Athenahealth practice management system.

Working Conditions
Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, and talk/hear. Occasionally required to walk, sit, and lift/move objects. Specific vision abilities are required. All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities as needed.
Compensation
Salary: $21 - $26 / hour.
