Medical Assistant

Job Description

OnPoint Medical Group is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Reflect Health. As a physician-led network committed to expanding access to quality healthcare, we strive to ensure the health and wellness of our members and their families. The Medical Assistant will assist the provider in examining and treating patients, ensuring their comfort and support throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, prepare them for healthcare visits, and obtain and verify their medical history and information.
• Document accurate vital signs and populate electronic medical records.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments, maintaining supplies and ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
• Conduct business in a service-oriented manner and handle logistics such as pre-visit planning, voicemails, and inbox messages.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with vendors and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited healthcare program or equivalent work experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience preferred.
• Current BLS card.

Preferred Education/Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics.
• Experience with Athenahealth practice management system.
