Job Description
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Hornblower - City Experiences in Norfolk, VA. As a key team member, you will work closely with the culinary team to ensure high levels of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction onboard our cruises. Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff during cruises to maintain high standards of sanitation and service.
- Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff as needed.
- Work with other departments to enhance guest service and resolve any issues effectively.
- Participate in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience in a full-service/banquet environment.
- At least 1 year of kitchen staff management experience.
- ServSafe Certified.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and establish positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
