Job Description

Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our Human Resources team in VanBuren, IN. As an HR Generalist at Weaver, you will provide comprehensive HR support to the HR Department and various departments within the organization. In addition to being a strategic HR business partner, you will also be a champion for our company culture, assisting with employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll and benefits, learning and development, and other HR-related tasks. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Develop job postings and manage the recruitment process.
  • Schedule and coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Assist with payroll process and generate reporting for management.
  • Administer employee benefits programs.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with employment laws.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to recruitment, training, compensation, etc.
  • Maintain employee handbook and policies.
  • Maintain training records and compile reports as required.
  • Assist in the development of performance management processes.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Analyze trends in employee turnover and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Source, review, and assess a diverse candidate pool through various recruitment methods, such as job postings, social media, industry networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand specific talent needs and requirements.
  • Create job postings and job descriptions for open positions.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems to manage job postings, track applicants, and maintain accurate candidate records.
  • Screen resumes and applications and conduct initial phone and in-person interviews.
  • Monitor and track candidate progress throughout the hiring process.
  • Prepare and present employment offers and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns and job fairs as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in recruitment and hiring processes.
