Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Management Coordinator to oversee the administration of the Emergency Management Department at Clear Creek County, Colorado. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for coordinating emergency planning, response, and recovery efforts in collaboration with various governmental agencies and organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update emergency policies and plans.
  • Conduct and coordinate training and exercises for emergency response teams.
  • Manage the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during activations.
  • Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies for effective emergency management.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience in emergency management.
  • Certifications in ICS, HSEEP, and FEMA Professional Development Series.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Good vision and hearing abilities for emergency responses.
  • Capability to work in stressful and changing environments.

Compensation: $26.51-$33.14 per hour
