Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses, ensuring their safety and readiness for service. Responsibilities
- Lead preventative maintenance (PMs) and safety inspections on school buses.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide guidance to other technicians.
- Participate in the ASE certification program and training provided by the company.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with willingness to obtain CDL.
- 5+ years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience, or technical school education.
- Mechanic's toolset and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
