Commercial Roofing Sales/Estimator

Job Description

Progressive Roofing is seeking a motivated Commercial Roofing Sales/Estimator to develop and implement a strategy for selling preventive roof maintenance, restoration coating systems, and new roof penetrations on commercial/industrial buildings in the Dallas, Texas area. The successful candidate will focus on exceptional customer development skills and establishing long-term relationships with new and existing customers to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare material quotes, labor requirement quotes, project pricing, and bid abstracts
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes and determine cost effectiveness
• Consult with subcontractors, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database to ensure historical data is utilized
• Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement
• Complete understanding of manufacturer product warranties and estimate prices on change orders on existing contracts
• Attend pre-construction and bid/pre-qualification meetings and maintain positive rapport with property and facilities managers, general contractors, and manufacturer’s representatives

Requirements

• Fluent knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and the internet
• 5 years verifiable estimating experience specific to commercial roofing, fluency in Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to demonstrate skills
