Job Description

Our warehouse operations ensure that products are properly received, selected, and delivered to our stores for our ever-growing number of customers to enjoy. Our teams work in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas. A thorough training and safety program provide the necessary skills for success.

Responsibilities

  • Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders
  • Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines
  • Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments
  • Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements
  • Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines
  • Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information
  • Provide input to the warehouse management regarding process improvement
  • Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues
  • Independently act and decide within the delegated area of responsibility
  • Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals
  • Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures
  • Follow the ergonomic program according to established procedures
  • Operate equipment according to safety guidelines
  • Notify management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues

Job Qualifications

You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Aldi.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights. Frequently move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries. Continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, and have the ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
